What you'll need

  • Email address (a link to the removal form is emailed to you)
  • First and last name (middle optional)
  • CAPTCHA
  • Choose whether you are the subject or an authorized agent
  • No account, ID upload or phone call required
  • Phone alternative: 888-747-4095 (from privacy notice)

Step by step

  1. Go to usphonebook.com/removal (usphonebook.com/opt-out redirects there).
  2. Select 'The subject of the request', enter first name, last name and email, tick the authorization box, complete the CAPTCHA and click 'Begin Removal Process'.
  3. Open the email from USPhonebook and click the link within 24 hours (after 24 hours you must request a new one).
  4. On the form, enter information that matches the record you want removed, filling in every field accurately.
  5. Confirm you reach the confirmation page and receive a confirmation email.

Tips and gotchas

  • The email link expires after 24 hours.
  • USPhonebook says omitting or giving inaccurate information 'will only hinder the opt-out process'.
  • Parent's registry filing says an opt-out of sale submitted on any of its ten sites applies across all of them; still spot-check sister sites such as FastPeopleSearch and SearchPeopleFree afterward.

Will it stay removed?

Broker opt-out processes change often. If a step above no longer matches what you see, the broker's own opt-out page is the authority.
