What you'll need

  • Name and email address
  • CAPTCHA
  • Click the emailed link within 24 hours
  • Complete an opt-out form whose details match the record
  • Choose whether you are the subject or an authorized agent

Step by step

  1. Go to https://www.fastpeoplesearch.com/optout (the old /removal URL now redirects here).
  2. Choose 'The subject of this request' (or authorized agent), then enter first name, optional middle name, last name and email.
  3. Tick the authorization box, complete the CAPTCHA and click SUBMIT.
  4. Open the email from FastPeopleSearch and click the link within 24 hours (after that you must request a new one).
  5. Fill in the opt-out form with information that matches the record you want removed, completely and accurately.
  6. You will see a confirmation page and get a confirmation email; allow 3 days for removal.

Tips and gotchas

  • The flow changed: it is now 'email first, then form'. Older guides that tell you to search your name, click 'View Free Details' and then 'Remove My Record' are out of date.
  • The emailed link expires after 24 hours.
  • FastPeopleSearch warns that 'Omitting information or providing inaccurate information on the opt-out form will only hinder the opt-out process.'
  • The page is framed as a 'Do Not Sell/Right to Opt-out' request.

Will it stay removed?
