- Under 'US individual / individual acting on behalf of another - opt out request', complete the embedded form.
- Open the confirmation email from Acxiom and respond to it to validate the request.
- Optional: for full deletion rather than opt-out of sale, use the Access/Delete request on acxiom.com/privacy (requires identity verification).
- No email? Call 1-877-774-2094 and follow the prompts, or mail the request.
Tips and gotchas
- Opt-out stops sale going forward; data already licensed to marketers is not recalled.
- Acxiom treats Iowa/Utah sensitive-data opt-outs as deletion requests.
- California residents can also use DROP, which reaches Acxiom as a registered broker.
Will it stay removed?
unconfirmed. Acxiom notes the opt-out 'is not effective for removal of data that may have been provided to marketers prior to your request.'
